RBC Summer Tangerine

RBC Summer Tangerine

Your off-season guaranteed with the best flavor!

The main characteristic of the RBC Summer Tangerine, in addition to the peculiar flavor is the precocity of the harvest. That is, it is a variety that is ready for harvesting 5 to 6 months after flowering. Originating from a selection of tangerine hybrids, it is a large, vigorous and thornless plant. With a slightly firmer skin characteristic than the Ponkan (common), it is a fruit that in isolated plantations is seedless, easy to peel.

Seasonality X Price (kg) - Ponkan (common)
The table shows the values obtained per kilo of the ponkan (common): depending on the region, from April to July, where prices are lower - depending on the peak harvest (main season). The highest values are formed by the very limited supply of this fruit, caused by flowering out of season (beginning and end of harvest). Brazilian citrus growers can now count on tangerine varieties that are more disease-tolerant and have a different ripening period than traditional ones, thus being more competitive in the market. Highlighted (February and March) the RBC Summer Tangerine harvest period.
